Depth of field:
In this photo the depth of field is very deep. When I originally focused I chose to focus on the water in the background. I kept the focus the same throughout the 4 images. I had some problems with the water in the background because the waves were constantly changing.
Exposure:
When I was taking the pictures it was very cloudy out which made the lighting darker. This became a problem when some of the waves started to get blurry. Something that helped to overcome this problem was to make the aperture greater and speed up the shutter speed just a little bit. The wast problem i had with the trees was them becoming too light which gave them more detail.
Lighting:
This picture was taken outside. The lighting was diffused from above and a little bit from the side. It was better that it was diffused because I didn't get the light spots from the reflection off the water. Something that would have added would be less detail in the foreground, by making it darker.
Lines:
This picture has many lines. They are too distracting, because it takes away from what i was really trying to focus on. But at the same time I like the repetition of the trees. Along with the repetition in the waves of the water. One thing I like about the repetition of the thin branches and the thick trees.
Composition:
In this picture there is a small bit of rile of thirds. I see this rule with the thicker trees. Something I dont like about the composition is how long the icture is compaired to how tall it is. I think that if I didn't have to crop the picture as much would be a pit of the golden mean, with the trees.
Color:
This picture has a realistic color scheme. THe colors that are in this image are gray and brown. I think this is part of the reason this becomes so boring. The background is more gray and the trees are brown. Although I do think this adds a little is by creating a black and white picture, without being black and white.
