Composite Critique

Composite
Depth of field and focus
In my photo there are 6 pictures put together.  On almost every flower the focus is right in center. The white flower has the focus on the left part of the flower, and the white one in the back ground is focused on a small bug.   On most of the pictures  the depth of field is very shallow.  Although some have deeper depths of field you can't tell because I cut out the image and  pasted many together.

Exposure
This picture is composed of many pictures.  This makes each individual picture with a different exposure.  Although many were similar because i took them all at the same time of day.  Scene many of the exposures are the same it also makes many of f stops the same , or  with in the same range.

Lighting
The lighting that I used was  natural sun light.  On some of the flowers the sun was covered by clouds, so it was more diffused light and on others the light came straight from the sun.  I sprayed some water on the flowers this reflected the sun light and added a nice touch.   The light was coming from slightly above to the  side.  Many times the sun was behind my back.

Lines
In my original picture , which is the background photo the main image is in the middle.  This was the first line I created.  When I added many of my pictures in I put them on the thirds lines.  this then created the first three lines.  The next line I made was a diagonal line going from bottom left to top right.    When I added them I didn't add them to close to the bottom or to close to the top which created my last line.

Color
The color tome I used was unrealistic.  It consists of mostly reds and greens.  Sense the contrast is so high it creates many round spots.  An example of the round spots is in the top left corner.  The color also becomes blurred in the middle of many flowers.

Composition
In my photo I used the golden rule.  Where the spiral starts in the center then moves around the bottom ending on the white flower in the corner.  This makes the picture more visually appealing.  Lastly I used many bright colored flowers so they wil stand out even when the contrast is high.

  1. Depth of Field and Focus
I like how the depth of field is in your picture. Since you toke pictures really close up of the flowers those pictures have a really deep depth of field. I like how the focus is really sharp on the one yellow flower in the center. I also see how with what you did in photoshop that it gave the picture a look of a shallow depth of field. Overall your depth of field is really interesting and improves your picture.

    Exposure
Since I'm not sure what setting your exposure was set at I can’t exactly know how the exposure affected the image. However, from looking at your image I think exposure looks good. I think theres a good balance of light and depth of field. Therefore your exposure was probably set at a good range. Overall the exposure really improves your image.

    Lighting
I can tell that for this image you used natural lighting. SInce you toke your pictures outside the natural lighting helps improve your nature images. Although it can be risky to use natural lighting because of the clouds and changing weather, it was really a advantage in your picture. I thought it was interesting how you you sprayed water on the plants. It really was an advantage that it helped reflect the light.

    Lines
The lines in your Picture really helped create a really cool image. By adding all the different images you were able to create some interesting lines that helped draw the eyes into the picture. For example I really like the plant in the left lower corner. I thought that this line helped draw the looker into the image. Other lines like the plant coming from the center and the leaves, really helped improve your image.

    Color
Your coloring was really one of the center points in your picture. It was one of the main things that drew me into looking at you image. Although I love naturally coloring, I liked what you did but changing the colors around. It really worked in your favor because it not only made the image interesting to look at but it helps blend the plants together. This made the image more realistic. Overall I really like the coloring in your image.

I can definitely see the golden rule used in your image. Theres a distinct center point in your image. Then, I see by using the other plants it starts to spiral out. I agree that this makes the picture more visually appealing. The golden rule really draws in the viewer. I like the composite of your image.
